For the first photo series to debut in the soon-to-be-opened "FC Galleries," I wanted to do something simple and straight forward. It turns out that this minimalist portrait series is turning out to be one of my favorite projects. The concept is simple indeed - men posing nude in the same old wooden chair. I think perhaps that it is the fact that, unlike the photos I usually take, I can't rely on scenery or props that makes these portraits so much fun for me. With the same background and the same piece of furniture, the diversity of the models come through that much more. The Chair Portraits show is scheduled to open at the new FC Galleries near the end of June. Here's a sneak peek...
